History: Thailand Knowledge Park Chiang Rai (TK park Chiang Rai) consists of Chiang Rai Train Library, Huen Aan San Sook and the Discovery Center.
Chiang Rai Train Library was initiated by a former Transport Minister who wanted to provide a learning environment that promotes reading and encourages people to make use of spare time effectively. Hence the Chiang Rai Provincial Administration Organization was tasked to transform train carriages into a library, providing a variety of books on language, science, Thai history, social science, tourism, tales, novels and children’s books. Inside the carriages is also a mini-theatre. The train library is clean and beautiful, offering a good environment for reading and relaxing.
Huen Aan San Sook is located inside the stadium of Chiang Rai Provincial Administration Organization. It is a learning center about health and career that is useful for people of all ages. Featured in this center is a health corner offering books on the topics of healthy living, healthy food, herbs and exercises. Visitors can also measure their blood pressure, weigh themselves and measure their waist at this corner. Also is this area is a vocational knowledge corner which has a collection of books and learning materials that prepare readers for jobs. Available topics are agriculture, online merchandising, stock market, restaurant, cafe, bakery, handcrafts and so on.
Discovery Center is a learning setting that covers a wide range of topics that contribute in developing quality of life for the youth. Available content was designed to match either formal or informal education. A planetarium for astronomy and natural disasters education and the Science World are also parts of the center.

New membership fee:
- Children under 20: 50 baht
- Age 20-60: 100 baht
- Foreigner: 300 baht
- Senior citizens aged 60 and above, monks, people with disabilities and disadvantaged individuals are exempted from the fee
Borrowing and Returning: Members can borrow 3 books for 7 days at a time
Deposits:
- Thai books 200 baht/ item
- Foreign language books 300 baht/ item
Overdue fees:
- Thai books 10 baht/ item/ day
- Foreign language books 20 baht/ item/ day
- In the case of lost or damaged library material, borrowers are liable for charges according to the actual cost of the item plus 100 baht fee.
Other services:
- Computer and internet use available for members up to a maximum of 1 hour
