Bangkok, Thailand - Thailand Knowledge Park (TK Park), under the Office of Knowledge Management and Development (OKMD), has partnered with Encyclopaedia Britannica Australia Ltd. to launch Britannica Library, a world-class digital knowledge resource for TK Park members, aiming to provide people in Thailand with wider access to reliable, safe, and expert-verified information.
The launch comes at a time when information is being generated and shared at unprecedented speed through internet searches, social media platforms, and AI-powered tools. While information has become easier to access, the ability to identify credible and accurate sources remains a key challenge, particularly for students, teachers, parents, working professionals, and the general public who rely on information for learning, work, research, and everyday decision-making.
Through Britannica Library, TK Park members will be able to access an international online encyclopaedia platform developed by Encyclopaedia Britannica, one of the world’s most recognized knowledge institutions. The platform offers content across a wide range of subjects, including science, history, geography, culture, technology, society, and general knowledge. Its content is fact-checked by experts and designed for users across different age groups, from children and young learners to adults pursuing lifelong learning.
The collaboration was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between OKMD and Encyclopaedia Britannica Australia Ltd. The signing was led by Dr. Twarath Sutabutr, President of the Office of Knowledge Management and Development (OKMD), and Mr. Terence Ng, Senior Director for Partnerships in Britannica Education in Asia, Encyclopaedia Britannica Australia Ltd. The agreement aims to support access to digital knowledge and promote lifelong learning among people in Thailand.
As part of the partnership, TK Park and Britannica will jointly develop learning activities under three main areas. These include training TK Park staff and librarians to become “Knowledge Navigators” who can guide users toward reliable information; organizing on-site learning activities; and launching digital and seasonal campaigns to encourage learning as part of everyday life.

Dr. Twarath Sutabutr, President of the Office of Knowledge Management and Development (OKMD), said access to reliable knowledge has become increasingly important as information becomes easier to find but harder to verify. “Today, information may be easier to access than ever, but access to reliable and practical knowledge has become increasingly important. Many users are looking for trusted reference sources that are easy to use and conveniently accessible, whether for education, work, or everyday research. This collaboration is another step toward expanding access to quality knowledge through Thailand’s public learning network,” Dr. Twarath said.
Mr. Terence Ng, Senior Director for Partnerships in Britannica Education in Asia, Encyclopaedia Britannica Australia Ltd., said the partnership would help strengthen TK Park’s role as a public learning space for the digital age.
“The collaboration between Britannica, OKMD, and TK Park opens the door to a trusted world-class digital knowledge resource that is fact-checked, safe, and advertisement-free for TK Park members and the wider public in Thailand. Britannica aims to support TK Park in becoming a gateway to global knowledge for learners of all ages and backgrounds, while helping public libraries evolve into living learning ecosystems,” Mr. Ng said.

A key feature of Britannica Library is Ask Britannica, an AI-powered tool developed by Encyclopaedia Britannica to search, analyse, and synthesize answers specifically from Britannica’s trusted knowledge database. This allows users to ask questions and receive responses drawn from reliable, expert-verified content, giving them greater confidence in the accuracy and credibility of the information. Unlike general online searches, where users often need to verify sources on their own, Ask Britannica provides a safer and more structured way for learners, students, teachers, parents, professionals, and the general public to explore, understand, and build on knowledge in the AI era.
TK Park has continued to expand its digital learning services in recent years through e-books, audiobooks, online library services, and learning platforms such as TK Read and Libby. The addition of Britannica Library is expected to further strengthen TK Park’s digital learning ecosystem, particularly in the areas of research, self-directed learning, and access to trusted reference materials.
From October 2025 to March 2026, TK Park piloted Britannica Library at its learning space on the 8th floor of CentralWorld. The service recorded more than 307,000 visits, with the highest monthly usage reaching 103,816 visits in October 2025, reflecting strong demand for quality reference resources among users.
Starting 1 June 2026, TK Park members will be able to access Britannica Library free of charge through three channels: at the Britannica service point inside TK Park, via the “TK_Member” Wi-Fi network at TK Park CentralWorld, and remotely through the MyTK application using their TK Park member account.
TK Park and Britannica also plan to further develop learning activities and engagement programmes for users of all ages, both at physical learning spaces and through digital platforms.
The service will later be expanded to users at TK Park True Digital Park and members of the Museum Siam Library, broadening access to international knowledge resources through Thailand’s public learning network.
